Yarmouth 1s 4 - 0 Beccles (28/09/24)

We knew this would be a tough match as Yarmouth have proven strong when we played them last season. We mixed up our usual formation to stack the defence and leave just 2 players up front. This proved to be a good decision as we managed to hold Yarmouth to just 1 goal in the first half through some brave defending and good communication around the goal. We struggled to gain much momentum in attack which continued throughout the game despite a lot of fight from our midfielders and forwards when we had the opportunity.

Unfortunately Yarmouth had a run of goals in the second half, scoring another 3 to end the match 4-0. It was a good effort from Beccles, especially considering we we missing some key players and for a lot of the team it was their first match of the season. Everyone stepped up and fought hard and the score could have been very different without some great goalkeeping and defending, so definitely some positives to take away.

We are back at home next Saturday with a match at 13:00 against Norwich City 5s. Supporters are always welcome!
